I’m a little in love with Roebuck Studio – designers of beautiful, creative, sustainable, and imaginative furniture for children. This is furniture that won’t break your own style down to kid size. Each piece is whimsical enough for your child, but stylish enough for your home.
Seriously, I almost can’t choose a favorite piece at this studio. Still, I tried, and finally settled on two pieces to share:
I’ll admit it, I’m partial to the green chair, but I’m a green kind of girl. No worries because this chair is available in many colors that would work with any child’s room decor scheme. The orange is great – go see.
I also like…
The very slick Frog Cabinet
Seriously now, how cool is this?! You have to go see the full photo gallery for this piece, because it looks so great on a green wall.
Eco fact to know from Roebuck Studio:
- Furniture is made of Baltic birch – strong, lightweight, and stable. This is also a sustainable wood choice because less glue is used in panels; I mean think particle board (egad). This is much better.
- Company goals include reduced waste production, and reusing scrap material for small pieces.
- “Furniture parts are finished in traditional shellac, which creates a natural, durable, water-proof finish that can be wiped clean easily.”
- Water based paints are used – although you can get pieces in clear finish as well.
Visit Roebuck Studio to see everything they create – it’s all amazing. They even have pet bowl holders, and although I’m so not a pet person, I almost considered a cat after seeing this set.
